Two Steps To Overcoming Anxiety For Worrywarts

I am a worrywart. To all you lucky laid back people who haven’t a clue what a worrywart, it is a person who worries all the time. As a nervous Nellie, I worry about everything – what’s going to happen, what isn’t, what I could’ve, should’ve, and would’ve done if I had only thought of it in time. The medical term for this persistent worrying is Generalized Anxiety Disorder but I call it “the monkey on my back”. My monkey is an incessant chatterer, quite large and bright orange. It looks somewhat like an orangutan which is strange, because orangutans are normally placid, gentle apes. Anyhow, my monkey is an orangutan on a mission, and it never lets up.
