It may appear unbelievable however that is what you call as agoraphobia panic attacks. This particular disorder has pushed an introvert person into a whole new level.

Panic disorder with agoraphobia is a condition characterized by panic attacks that are almost always associated with the irrational fear of being in public. This may be a serious condition for there are people who do not find courage when they are about to go out of their house. Because of that their basic functions in the community are hampered.

The fear people experience when they are exposed to a public place have several reasons. A traumatic experience that happened in a public place is the most predominant cause. For example is the experience of someone I know, after he saw an individual being mobbed in public, he then suddenly develop the condition. Another example would be an actual experience of an accident same to what happened during 9/11.

Some individuals think that the only way for them to stop panic attacks is when they lock themselves inside their house. This would only serve as a temporary remedy but not a permanent cure for the ailment. Doing that would just increase your fears even more. Do you think you will love spending the rest of your life inside the four corners of your home only?

You may try exposing yourself gradually as this is the best thing to do at first. Why not try to have some private parties with your close friends and relatives. When you already have managed to be comfortable with that, next is try to go to areas with more people just like in restaurants or coffee shops. The aim here is that you slowly push yourself out of your comfort zone.

Yes, the process you will be going through is not simple and you might probably have panic episodes in between; nevertheless, you will definitely be successful if you will be determined enough. Just remember that every time you feel comfortable already in what you are doing; proceed on to the next stage. Follow those until you are confident enough to say, watch a concert?

If you think you are ready for a more aggressive treatment technique, you can try out cognitive behavioral therapy. Finding a connection between your past experiences to your present condition is the goal of this therapy. Along with your physician, you will identify those crises that you thought you are over with. You have to bear in mind that whatever is in our subconscious mind can still affect us or cause us too much stress.

Yes, indeed it sounds hard – adding the fact that it is also difficult to do; yet, once you get used to it; things will just fall on its places.
